About this blog

This is a total outsider's take on Canadian motorcycling.  I focus on street riding, track school/day and road racing topics/issues.

After 30+ years participating, spectating, volunteering and observing, I feel it's time someone has the guts to point out how threadbare our Cdn motorcycle industry emperors' raiments have become.  It ain't just "the economy".

I can honestly say I have no hidden allegiances with, or favours owed to, anyone who holds industry decision-making or media power.  Quite the contrary, I have probably annoyed and offended a large number those who would try to make a living or gain fame in that sphere.

In the past "our betters" have decided that building and maintaining various fiefdoms was preferable to compromising on coordinated efforts.  History shows the Canadian riding market, and wider social constraints and attitudes it must function within, limits the number of organizational silos that can be viable.

So right now Canadian riders and their various clubs/groups/organizations are all hanging separately, as we did not hang together.

So you get to decide if I'm just a cranky old git on two wheels, or someone with a genuine desire to help improve the lot of Canadian riders in very difficult times.
